Chef Celine Plano

Executive Pastry Chef

Celine Plano, the Executive Pastry Chef at Four Seasons Resort and Residences, is a true pastry virtuoso. Chef Celine's guiding principle, "make it nice or make it twice," reflects her unwavering dedication to perfection. She believes beauty is found in every detail, infusing creativity and precision into the art of pastry making.

Chef Celine's pastry journey, ignited in her mother's kitchen in France, flourished through formal training and various roles in pastry shops, restaurants, and hotels. Her passion for pastry led her across the country, enhancing her craft in Aspen, Atlanta, San Francisco, Westlake Village, and Chicago, before planting roots in Sonoma County, California, eight years ago, where she established her own catering company.

Her tenure with Four Seasons began in 2006 at the Westlake Village property as the Executive Pastry Chef. There, she led the pastry program until 2009, establishing high standards for excellence and innovation. This was followed by a pivotal role from 2009 to 2013 at the Peninsula Hotel Chicago, where she oversaw a comprehensive pastry program and led a team of 16 pastry cooks, elevating the hotel's culinary status.

Celine's mastery extended into the realm of chocolate with Barry Callebaut, the largest chocolate manufacturer globally. From 2013 to 2015, she was a technical advisor and Chocolatier/Instructor, sharing her knowledge across America.

Having moved from France in 1997, Celine's U.S. career commenced at the Ritz Carlton Hotels in Atlanta and San Francisco, where she honed her skills for over nine years. Now at Four Seasons Napa Valley, she continues to inspire with her exquisite pastry creations.

Chef Celine's life extends beyond the kitchen into music, photography, gastronomy, and outdoor adventures with her partner and two dogs.
