Welcome to Auro
Auro brings Michelin-starred dining to Calistoga. Under Executive Chef Evan Neumann, whose career spans the kitchens of Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, Anne-Sophie Pic, Daniel Boulud, and Christophe Bellanca, the team transforms hyper-seasonal Napa Valley ingredients into seven courses of contemporary American cuisine, refined through French technique and influenced by Mexican and Japanese traditions.
Dine in our intimate room overlooking the vineyards and mountains, or immerse yourself at the Chef's Table inside the kitchen. Resort Beverage Manager Derek Stevenson's 750-label wine program, awarded Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence since 2023, showcases Napa icons and rare discoveries. Experience what happens when Napa Valley's bounty meets Four Seasons hospitality.
One Michelin Star
In October 2022, we proudly opened our doors, and after just eight glorious months, Auro earned its first MICHELIN Star in 2023! We are thrilled to share that this momentum has continued into 2025, with Auro securing a MICHELIN Star for the third consecutive year.
This restaurant exists for a single reason: to give you an evening worth remembering.
Every meal is a dialogue between kitchen and cellar, dining room and guest, revealed course by course and glass by glass. We are guided by the pursuit of curiosity, an obsession with craft, and the art of service.
We are grateful to cook for you, to host you, and to share this table.
— The Auro Team
Learn MoreMeet our new Executive Chef, Evan Neumann
Evan Neumann grew up surrounded by the markets, olive groves and culinary traditions of Provence, entering his first professional kitchen at 14 and training formally at the École Hôtelière d’Avignon.
By 21, he was an Executive Chef, an achievement rarely seen at that age in French gastronomy. What followed was a decade forged in some of the most demanding kitchens in the world: under Joël Robuchon at the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo, on the cooking and sauce stations at Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée in Paris, and as Sous Chef to Anne-Sophie Pic at La Dame de Pic – Le 1920 at Four Seasons Megève, where the restaurant earned its first Michelin star during his tenure.
In New York, he served as Executive Sous Chef at Daniel Boulud’s Restaurant Daniel and joined Christophe Bellanca at Essential by Christophe as Chef de Cuisine, where under his leadership the restaurant earned a Michelin star. In total, Neumann has worked across kitchens holding a combined eleven Michelin stars.

Learn MoreSommelier Derek Stevenson James Beard Award Nominee
We are honored to announce that Derek Stevenson has been named a semifinalist for the prestigious James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Professional in Beverage Service.
The James Beard Awards—often called the “Oscars of the food world”—celebrate excellence in culinary arts, hospitality, media, and the broader food industry. Derek Stevenson’s nomination recognizes his commitment to craft, his deep respect for Napa Valley’s terroir, and his pursuit of elevating the wine experience for every guest.
"When curating our wine program, I start with the people behind the bottle. Napa comes first, but championing POC and women winemakers has always been a priority. Storytelling is at the heart of being a sommelier, and I’m drawn to the stories told less often. The diversity of American food and wine culture inspires me daily, it’s the artistry that fuels my passion."
